Chris Baker

Chris is a Pedestrian and Cycling Planner with the City of Winnipeg. He is a Full Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and a graduate of the University of Manitoba’s Master of City Planning program. He also has training and certifications in bikeway design, public engagement and project management. Working to implement the City of Winnipeg’s Pedestrian and Cycling Strategies, Chris is involved with facilities planning and design, design review, programming, project management and public engagement. He is the chair of the Manitoba Road Safety Plan 2017-2020 Road to Zero - Active Transportation / Vulnerable Road User working group. Chris is looking forward to this summer’s cycling construction program, which includes multiple protected facilities.
